About Us

Grand Central Taproom and Restaurant was built in the mid-nineteenth century and named the Grand Central Saloon. In the 1920’s it became the American Store and later a Firestone Tire Sales Room. In 1947, Henry Kraber returned the establishment to a taproom. Other previous owners include John Bucks, Kenneth and Mildred Koller, Earl and Sandra Stitzer. Lisa Hawkins-Padnes and Kevin Padnes purchased Grand Central Taproom in 2007 and when it was time to sell, Lisa approached her Uncle Keith first to see if he was interested in keeping the bar in the family. Keith and Diane Hawkins became the proud owners of Grand Central Taproom and Restaurant in 2017.

“We are proud to continue the tradition and expand on it with, and hope that our community loves this bar and restaurant as much as we do, and become part of our family as well.”
